Overview

Epitalon (Epithalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide — Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly — derived from Epithalamin, a natural polypeptide extracted from the bovine pineal gland. Its primary area of scientific investigation centers on its capacity to stimulate telomerase activity, the enzyme responsible for maintaining telomere length in dividing cells, which is widely studied as a biomarker of cellular aging and replicative lifespan.
